Born in Philadelphia. I don't remember it (the city, that is, although I don't remember being born either), but when I go back to visit I find that Philadelphia's aesthetic affects me deeply. I like to wonder whether my fledgling brain took in the city's industrial jumble and gave it a mythical importance.
Or maybe I just like cities.
In any event, I now live in a nice suburban neighborhood in the Tampa Bay area, with oak trees and palm trees and orange trees in the back yard and pine trees in the front. We have herons and cranes and osprey and woodpeckers, all of which delights me no end, and dolphins and jumping fish in the bay.
I'm already south for the winter, so I just read much of the night.
I write and make websites for a living, in varying proportions depending on what projects are bubbling.
